Today started off especially well as the business cards I ordered had finally arrived in the mail. This resulted in a trip to Starbucks as a reward for my first set of business cards. Thanks Vistaprint. I decided to come into work early to get a jump on the day. I focused my time working on the Social Madness campaign. I was inspired when I looked at the jump in our score since I last looked. The morning group left and I was able to change my seat. We had a quick review of the morning meeting and then took a quiz on Applicant intake procedure, most of which involved an in depth knowledge of tax paperwork. Not that difficult but there were several tax forms. After this I was able to start making calls. I usually email individuals to schedule an appointment but this process has been inconsistent and difficult to manage so I changed my style. This also resulted in speaking to more answering machines than people. We were called back into the conference room for training on how to process potential employees to ensure all clients are treated with the highest degree of care. I concluded the day following up on phone messages and working on new postings. Plan to check out thrift shops around town to find something that suits the good ole’ Red, White, and Blue.

Lori’s Adrenaline Junkies: BEWARE!!!

Hey Fellow Adrenaline Junkies! We are officially almost to the first day of Summer! I can’t think of a better way to enjoy warmer temperatures and the Wisconsin terrain then soaring like an eagle and embracing the sport of hand gliding. Discover the ultimate in free flight as you enjoy a tandem hang gliding flight with a certified instructor.

I can’t speak first hand yet on the experience but I do plan to take flight just outside of Whitewater before summers’ end! If you have never thought about this sport before, you are asking yourself, how does it work? Once secured in a harness, you and your instructor, will be towed behind a plane to a height of 3000 feet before being released into the sky where nature becomes your guide. You will soar like an eagle over rivers, lakes, parks and neighborhoods.

When you are ready, you will be asked if you want to take the controls and learn what it feels like to fly! Enjoy breathtaking views over the Wisconsin countryside as you carve through the air on the breeze and thermals and find out for yourself why hang gliding is so addicting! Once you start, you want to keep on going! Call Wisconsin Hand Gliding today at CALL NOW- 269-993-7721 or check them out at www.wisconsinhanggliding.com! If you have already taken this challenge, tell us about it!

Tuesday night next week Jewel is playing, I have had many friends who have seen her live and love her! She has some great lyrical talent and plays the hits. So if you like her music you won’t want to miss this!

I was lucky enough to vacation in one of my favorite domestic locations over Memorial Day weekend – Las Vegas. Whenever I am in Vegas I make sure to stop at either the Basin White or Basin store. I know traveling to Las Vegas simply to go to one store is not realistic, so lucky for us Wisconsinites they both have online stores! (www.basin.com and www.basinwhite.com - they also have a location for each in Orlando, FL).

Basin White and Basin are bath/body stores. They carry my favorite body scrub, a shea salt scrub, in numerous scents (and even do seasonal scents that change out). The scrubs come in 2lbs jars for $30 and last months. They are perfect for all skin types as they moisturize and exfoliate at the same time. I personally love them because they leave your skin soft and lightly scented without the need for lotion after your shower. The stores also carry lip scrubs, soaps, bath bombs, shampoo and conditioner bars, moisturizers, perfumes, and various other gifts (I will admit I also love their lip scrubs and vegetable glycerin soaps).

Even though they are not a local company I would highly suggest checking out their products, after all, what’s better than having a quality product delivered right to your door?

The summer weather is upon us (well, most days) and that means it is time for ICE CREAM!! For those of you who are watching what they eat there are options beyond the deliciousness that is Kopp’s and Leon’s custard. Wauwatosa’s Yo Mama (www.yomamagoodness.com) being one of the Fro Yo joints that have popped up around our fair city in the last year or so. I know growing up a trip to TCBY was a regular occurrence on a hot summer night, but since the 80’s the frozen yogurt industry seemed to be ignoring Wisconsin. Perhaps they figured when you’ve got a masterpiece like custard…what more do you need?! Well the option of fro yo has been a well received addition to the summer stops among both health conscious Milwaukeean’s…and people who like toppings. Lots, and lots of toppings.

You enter Yo Mama and start with picking your bowl size. You pay what your bowl weighs at the end, so it isn’t about how much you can cram into a small cup. So if you like lots of toppings, you might as well go big or go home. There are a variety of flavors from cake batter to kiwi to Dutch chocolate to vanilla. After you have swirled you flavor(s) of choice you are on to the toppings. You can keep things healthy with a little granola and fruit…or throw caution to the wind and head straight for the various cookies and candy bars crumbled into pieces and top it off with their hot fudge or caramel. My favorite part is guessing what everyone’s bowl will weigh at the end. There isn’t a ton of seating inside as they get quite busy, but there are plenty of places to sit outside around the Tosa Village and enjoy your treat. So Milwaukeean’s…what is your favorite fro yo topping?!?

This morning was a little rough for me. My quick nap turned into an hour and a half nap. I had to get ready really fast. Luckily, my awesome roommate was there to blow dry my hair as I was doing my make-up and she even made me breakfast! Doesn’t everyone wish for this kind of roommate? Thanks to her, I was able to leave on time and start my day at Hatch on time!

Each day walking into Hatch, I feel like I have gained more knowledge and confidence. Today Sarah provided training for us. We learned additional candidate screening tips. This was a great training session for me because it provided insight on which applicants are qualified and committed. Some applicants submit excellent resumes but lack in their communication during phone interviews or vice-versa.

While applying our training, it is much easier to sort out distinguishing candidates and find the perfect fit for a potential position. We analyzed applicant resumes and graded them based off of the Cahill methods. This was also very beneficial because it allowed us to assess actual resumes that Hatch receives, instead of just looking at sample ones. Since the focus of today was how to recruit the best possible candidates, I look forward to making additional calls and finding a great match for Hatch!

I have the privilege of writing the morning group’s first Monday blog. I wouldn’t describe it as a typical Monday though. I woke up and was much more comfortable with my 6:00AM alarm than last week. Though I arrived early, many of my fellow Hatch ELITE interns were already fast at work in the office. I arrived prepared, as I actually found time over the weekend to sort through the numerous resumes that had been sent to me. I thought I would go through a few more, attend the daily meeting and training, and be fast to work, but today was a day that would remind us to be flexible.

The morning meeting was a little empty with many people already out at meetings. It was short and sweet, and mostly focused on donuts. Yep, you read it correctly, donuts! As you may, or may not know, Friday was National Donut Day, and Hatch had planned to deliver donuts to their customers as a thank you for their business. Well, the meeting was over and Christina and Mandy were on their way out the door to deliver donuts, Jordan and Brian were close behind, and it seemed that Taylor, Erin, and I were left in the dust. Turns out, we really weren’t. We spent some time making additional phone calls until our chance to make the deliveries arrived. I can’t speak for the others, but I really enjoyed going out with Carly and Toni to say thank you to our clients (and letting them know about our #socialmadness competition.) The day ended quickly when I came back and saw the afternoon group working hard and the morning group long gone. I’m sure it’s a start to another great week.

Today has definitely been the most exciting day of the internship for me thus far. I walked into the office with a huge smile on my face, knowing that today would be the day that I would get to begin taking part in recruiting employees for different positions. I have loved working with the social media, posting ads on Craigslist, and learning the inner workings of the office, but I now was going to be able to take part in finding the perfect candidates for Hatch. The thought of being able to make a difference in this company was very exciting to me! We began the day by sorting through resumes to find the perfect candidates. Next, Michelle explained to us the process of pre-screening candidates and informed us of the importance and reasons for each question we should ask. Then it was time for us to shine!

We left the meeting, and immediately began making out first phone calls. There was slight hesitation to begin, but we put our worries behind us and picked up the phones. The first five phone calls I made took me to voicemails, leaving me slightly disappointed. My 6th phone call was answered, and trying not to jump for joy, I had a great pre-screening conversation with what seemed to be a strong candidate. Although most of my phone calls for the day were voicemail calls, I now feel way more confident in pre-screening and talking to employees on the phone. I am so grateful for what I have learned this week, and cannot wait for the opportunities that await us during the rest of the summer! Congratulations fellow interns, we made it through the first week!

-Mandy

Awake and ready to work (and with a little Wendy’s in my stomach), it was off to Milwaukee for work.

Walking into the office, the morning interns seemed much more confident. They were using phones, taking notes…they all looked more professional. I knew that in a matter of a few hours, the afternoon group would be doing exactly that. Intimidating? At first, yes, but the great internal staff was so helpful in giving us tips and strategies that simplified the matter of talking to strangers on the phone (but I thought our moms warned us not to talk to strangers…oh well, it’s our job to now!)

At the end of the day, those phones almost belonged in our hands. We discussed resumes with each other, refined our phone skills, worked through unsure phone circumstances together and really got a lot done. Then began a trip to Indiana for me for a Saturday wedding. Nice end to the work day, nice beginning of the weekend!

My Summer as an Intern-Day 3

I woke up today and saw it was rainy, cold, and grim outside (honestly can’t tell if it’s June or March with this weather). Regardless, I was excited and ready for day 3 at Hatch! Today started out with learning about what goes on at the front desk. We learned how to work the phones, which was a little hectic at first. Mandy and I were up first, and when the first call came in, we just kind of stopped, looked at each other, and then realized we should answer it. We definitely had some questions and confusion, but after a few phone calls, we started to get the hang of it. The rest of the day was spent working on more job postings, going through resumes, and seeing who might be qualified for the jobs. The resumes have already been flooding our inboxes, and I actually get a little too excited every time I get a new one. Another thing I really enjoyed was sitting out in the office with all of the internal staff today. The culture at Hatch is so inviting and open, which has made the first few days a lot easier. I really like that the staff is professional but they know how to have fun at the same time.

To end the morning, Lori talked to all of us about this summer and how we can all make the most of this opportunity. As interns, we are lucky enough to be surrounded by an extremely friendly, helpful, and interactive internal staff that will be there to set a great example for us. Now that we know what it will take to be as successful as possible in this internship, it’s time to work hard and make the most of it! It should be a great summer at Hatch!

So this weekend a band is playing that I’m very familiar with. I was very hesitant at first when my then girlfriend and now wife introduced me to them. They are the Indigo Girls and if you haven’t heard of them or seen them live you should no matter if you are guy or girl.

Lyrically they have some amazing songs and they truly know how to play to a crowd. If my wife when we were in college didn’t tell me to just listen, I never would have realized the talent and incredibly powerful music the Indigo Girls produce. So thank you my wife!!!! So guys if you are out there and someone ask you to go with them…go you won’t be disappointed! They are at the Marcus Amphitheater on Saturday at 10:30pm on Saturday.

Everybody get FOOTLOOSE..FOOTLOOSE!! Another concert taking place is Kenny Loggins another one I have seen and he is a ton of FUN to see!! 8pm at the Northern Lights Theater on Friday..Danger Zone another classic featured in Top Gun. He plays the classics and still can fire up a crowd!

Music lovers get out there this weekend and if you have some music you would like to share or concerts that are great let us know!!

Although amazing artwork isn’t unique to Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Art Dealers Association’s Gallery night adds a bit of spunk and beauty to downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. Area restaurants, bars, salons, galleries, and stores create spaces for local artists to display and market their art. These pieces range from abstract sculptures to small charcoal drawings to blown glass pieces. Not only do these local businesses pledge their support to the artists but also to the patrons and Milwaukeeans who come in droves to support this event. Restaurants and bars usually have specials and often complimentary beverages to Gallery Night goers.

Gallery Night is a unique experience for art lovers and community members who merely enjoy experiencing a small piece of what makes Milwaukee one of the Midwest’s best cities. So make plans to attend the next Gallery Night which will be in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward on July 26th & 27th so mark your calendars and get ready to be blown away by Milwaukee’s art scene!

I am not sure how much of an adrenaline rush it is, but what of the coolest things I have ever done was take a Hot Air Balloon ride. You arrive early in the morning, wind conditions have to be just right, and dress about 20 degrees cooler than the outside temperature. When the balloon fires up and starts to fill with air, your excitement will mount. Then UP, UP AND AWAY you will go! The most relaxing and beautiful ride of a lifetime.

In the Milwaukee area, Milwaukee Balloon Rides offers a full spectrum of different Hot Air Balloon Ride Packages. Going on a shared balloon is a less expensive way to experience the joy of balloon flight. Most hot air balloon baskets will hold 2-8 passengers during a single ride. In a shared ride, you will basically share the ride with other passengers if your group doesn’t fill a basket.

In case a shared basket is not for you….

Private tours and balloon rides are available at a slightly higher cost. Rather than sharing the basket with others, the pilot will reserve the whole basket for yourself and that special someone. It’s hard to compare any Milwaukee Balloon Ride to another, but an exclusive basket makes your balloon ride that much better. Spend up to 1 hour floating over Milwaukee in a private hot air balloon made for two. Either way, call today to book – both experiences will last a lifetime!

Whether you are taking a mid day shopping break, or having a nice intimate dinner Le Reve is a must do for all you food lovers. Their fabulous appetizers (I highly recommend the Crostini de Brie) their lovely meat and cheese plates, their rich and flavorful entrée’s and their lovely selection of wine make this a true Milwaukee gem. If you are like me, and have a sweet AND savory tooth, then this is the place for you. Their bakery case is full of decadent goodness that isn’t too be skipped. Open Mon-Saturday, closed on Sunday check out Le Reve for breakfast lunch or dinner. Or stop in to rest your feet, sip a glass of wine, and read a good book…and imagine you are sitting in café on a rainy day Paris. The atmosphere with the close tables, in a narrow room, and dim lighting with crisp clean décor it is truly transporting. So enjoy! And Bon Appetit!

Kristin’s Run/Walking in a Wisco Wonderland:

If you consider yourself a “Milwaukee-an,” someone that enjoys fun and an opportunity to socialize, as well as someone that wants to get in shape without working TOO hard, then this is YOUR week. While this week is no different than any other week in terms of opportunities to find a local stroll or jog through the area neighborhoods, there is one event for those of you that really are ultimately looking for fun.

I’m someone that enjoys physical activity of any kind, but prefer the physical activity that doesn’t require me to work too hard. More than this though, I really enjoy a good beer. Why not combine the two? After all, we are in Milwaukee, right? Locust Street Days is celebrating its 37th year and River West Beer Run or Walk (maybe crawl) on Sunday, June 9th at 11:30AM. This is a 1.8 mile run with 4 beer stops. With sponsors like Lakefront Brewery and Miller, you will not be disappointed with the selection. I’m personally hoping for Lakefront Brewery’s Riverwest Stein, an Amber Lager, named after the hardworking neighborhood where Lakefront Brewery was founded.

So who’s in with me? While I’m willing to do it alone, I’m confident that I will not be alone. With a minimal entrance fee for late registration of $20 I’m certain that the 900 runner max will be met. Get to the intersection of Booth and Locust by 10:00AM if you haven’t already registered to ensure your spot on the beer, I mean, running route.

Internship Day 2

Today marks day 2 of the Hatch Summer Internship program. The morning started off with sleeping past my alarm, spilling coffee all over myself and at one point I tripping over my cat. One word to descried my morning, mayhem. As I entered the Hatch offices for the second time, the place didn’t seem as intimidating. Everyone was smiling and intently working just as they were yesterday. The morning meeting was quick and informative. Though it made me realize, I have a lot to learn about the industry. Next, Toni gave us our first task of the day. We were to join social media sites and then increase Hatch’s social media presence. This consisted of a lot of time on facebook, twitter and linkedin (Who says work can’t be fun?).

Next we moved on to creating job postings on Craigslist.com. This is where the day got exciting for me. It was very exciting to start the process of finding the right employees for certain employers. Writing these listings was harder then I thought. Sure, it sounds simple; write about the job, done. But trying to describe the job, persuade and encourage someone to send you their resume isn’t that simple. You want to put a little “oomph” into the listing. Next, we had a guest speaker today. Russ Plewa from BMO Harris bank came in to talk to us for about an hour. He is the Senior VP of commercial banking. Needless, to say Russ knows how the business world works. He went around the room and asked each of us (interns) our names, where we go/went to school and to ask him one question. My question for Russ was how you go about handling big problems in his corporation. The hour flew by, Russ answered everyone’s questions and gave us insight to his own personal life. That concluded day two of our internship. -Erin

Food Glorious Food

Let’s head South of the border…to Cempazuchi!! www.cempazuchi.com

One of Brady Streets long standing gems, Cempazuchi is among the cities tastiest and most authentic Mexican and Central American food around. The bright colors, native masks, and various artwork put you in the mood for some full of spice and a fresh margarita to wash it down. These aren’t your run of the mill margarita’s either. The bartenders shake each “regular” margarita special to order. If you are looking for something fruity…you are in luck. There is one fresh fruit margarita available daily that is blended to order. Among my favorites are the guava, blueberry, and mango. The chips and salsa (one has peanuts, but the lovely staff will point that out in case of allergies) is so full of flavor unlike your standard pico that I dare you not to ask for your second helping before you even order your food!

Start your meal with either the Sopa Azteca (for you SPICY food lovers) or the Sopa de Lemon for a little taste of soup heaven. Their fish taco’s in the blue corn totrilla’s are on top of the list for entrees. The chile rellano’s is no joke either. So full of flavor. A perfect portion that won’t leave you wanting to curl up and nap (though the 3 baskets of chips may).

In the summer, Cempazuchi offers outdoor side walk dining, and you don’t get a much better area in Milwaukee to sit and people watch than Brady Street.

So grab some friends and head over to Cempazuchi for the South of the Border experience you have been looking for.

Adrenaline Junkies Beware

Adrenaline Junkies pick for the upcoming weekend: One of my favorite summer experiences came two years ago when I journeyed out to Milwaukee Skydive! Jumping tandem was great way to experience the thrill of a freefall and the “catch your breath” enjoyment of parachute flight! Whether you’re after a once-in-a-lifetime experience or want to learn to skydive, a tandem is a great start!

No ground school is required. After a short video and a personalized briefing with your instructor, you’ll board the plane together with a parachute and harness built for two.

After a 50 second freefall from 14,500 feet, you relax and enjoy the parachute ride down. The 50 second free fall is awesome! It feels like you have your head out the window of a car cruising down the freeway at 125 mph☺

Best of all, you receive professional photos and a video capturing the entire experience!

Call Milwaukee Sky Dive this weekend at 262-642-9494 and enjoy the view from 14,500 feet! For $99, you will get the thrill of a lifetime!!

        http://www.skydivemilwaukee.com<http://www.skydivemilwaukee.com

Sports Corner

Last week I mentioned and posted a link to the Lakeshore Chinooks baseball team. They are opening up their season this week. Their field is a new facility on the campus of Concordia University in Mequon and right on the shore of Lake Michigan. They are playing the Green Bay Bullfrogs at 705 pm on 05/31/13. There are tickets as low as 5 dollars, yes $5. Wooden bat league with high quality players that may become big league players in the future. Super family friendly…check them out this Friday night!http://www.lakeshorechinooks.com/

Old German Beer Hall: A Milwaukee Tradition

Thought you heard someone say “Free Beer”? Well, your hearing isn’t failing you because the Hofbräuhaus better known as the Old German Beer Hall, located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee definitely gets the blood pumping every Friday night with free beer starting at 6 p.m. Yes, free beer until it runs out which can occur anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes after the initial bell sounding. If you are lucky enough to get the last beer from the keg, you (and only you) get to drink free the rest of the evening.

While free beer probably couldn’t be seen as unique to Milwaukee (let alone Wisconsin), the Old German Beer Hall embodies the spirit of the German tradition that Milwaukee was built on starting with the arrival of the first German immigrants in 1839. Fashioned in the style of the original Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany, the hall can seat up to 125 patrons with a bar in the front and the traditional communal, German bench-style tables are located in the back.

Another interesting fact: the Hofbrau brewery is actually owned by the Bavarian state and the German people so they only open locations in communities that they feel can be an excellent representation of their brand. Milwaukee, therefore, should take pride in being chosen for the location of not only one but two Hofbrau brewery locations (the other being a beer garden that opened last summer in Estabrook Park). So if you are looking to experience a true Milwaukee tradition, head down to 1009 N. Old World Third Street and grab a liter of Hofbrau beer (or Sprecher Root Beer)!

Music Madness

If you are looking for “Nothing but a Good Time” then on May 30th today your in luck!!!! At 8pm at the Potowotamii Northern Lights Theater you will be seeing Brett Michaels the star of the 80′s group Poison! This will be a rock star event!! And even though “Every Rose has its Thorn” you wont find any thorns in your side going to this show!!You want to talk about an amazing show then see none other then the KING OF BLUES B.B. King this Saturday at the Riverside Theater. I have seen B.B. twice and no one plays the guitar like him with more passion and fun. Folks the guy is 87 and he still gets the crowd off their feet cheering and encores. He gets the crowd involved and throws guitar picks to the fans. This is must see this Friday!! Don’t miss either of these shows!

Hey all you adrenaline junkies! I have the perfect Memorial Day Weekend activity for you! Check out Gran-Aire at Timmerman Field for an hour of flight instruction –

http://www.flymilwaukee.com/.

You will have an opportunity to fly a Cessna 172 in the air – yes you heard it right! You will obtain 100% of the controls in the air! No better view of the city this weekend than from the sky. So don’t delay – call Gran-Aire today at 461-3222! Don’t forget to let them know Hatch recommended their fabulous team of pilots and planes!

Walking in a Wisco Wonderland: walks/runs

Celebrate the outdoors this weekend with a little activity . . .

It would seem as though our weekend events are dictated by the weather around here. This weekend is no different. It will be a mild weekend, perfect weather to get out for a stroll or jog.

There are two run/walks this weekend that we’d like to feature. First is the 5K Run for Love on Saturday, May 25th. It takes place at Fox River Park in Waukesha. The run starts at 9:00AM and the walk starts at 9:15AM. The proceeds of this run go toward providing and distributing of water packs for families in Kenya, Africa, something that we take for granted.

My personal pick for the weekend takes place in Racine. The infamous Color Run takes place on Saturday starting in Pershing Park. You will want to show up in all white by 8:00AM to hit the streets for this fun run/walk. If you haven’t had the opportunity to do a Color Run yet, this one is a personal favorite! Every 1K of this 5K event, you get splashed in paint. You start the run wearing all white and finish in more colors than you knew existed!

Have fun and remember, the faster you run the faster you’re done!

Food Glorious Food

Duck Duck Goose…RUUUUUN don’t walk to Bayview’s Odd Duck (www.oddduckrestaurant.com.) This trendy neighborhood brings a new Milwaukee delight that not only fits the style, but the flavor expectations of a restaurant that without reservation can have a 2-3 hour wait on prime nights. And trust me, grab a cocktail…it is worth the wait! Their variety of seasonal small and large plates are designed to be shared…and there are some that once you taste them, you may not want to! Start with a craft cocktail, beer, or glass of wine from their excellent list and select cheese and meats for a “make your own” style cheese and meat tray.

Try and narrow down the choices of your dishes to share, and trust me you find yourself saying “just one more” much longer than you thought.

The atmosphere is modern, but with beautiful strong wood giving it a warm home-like feeling. The staff is wonderful. The are very knowledgeable of their menu, and very eager to help. So pick a night, make a reservation, bring your sweetie or your friends and have a deliciously “odd” night out.

There’s no Business Like Show Business

ONE NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN is a full-on concert experience into the life and inspirations of one of rock ‘n’ roll’s greatest legends. With a live onstage band, the show features Joplin hits such as “Piece of My Heart,” “Mercedes Benz,” “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Ball and Chain” and “Summertime”.

For tickets and information, call 414-224-9490, or visit http://www.MilwaukeeRep.com

Music Madness

If you looking for something to do tomorrow night, love music and it’s for a good cause, then this is it!! ROCK THE HUNGER at the Best Place Historic Pabst Theater at 7:00pm!! Featuring nine of Milwaukee’s best musical groups, the concert is sure to have you dancing into the night. Come out and support the hard work of local music students in addition to the community. Admission to the concert is $7, or just $5 if you donate a non-perishable food item upon entry. All donations directly benefit the Hunger Task Force and those in need this holiday season. Admission to the concert also gives you a chance to win prizes…Also this Friday at the Intercontinental Milwaukee at 10pm, check it out for Free!! Steve Grimm is back! After graduating from the famed Berkley School of Music in Boston he began a musical journey performing countless gigs across the nation and is still performing his much loved music today.

Some great concerts coming up next weekend too so stay tuned! Have fun this weekend music lovers!

Marquette University isn’t just home to academic excellence and a fantastic basketball scene. In fact, it is also the home of a hidden Milwaukee gem. St. Joan of Arc Chapel, a 15th century French stone chapel (Chappelle de St. Martin), which was moved stone by stone from Chasse, France to Long Island, NY in 1927. In 1964, the chapel was dismantled and presented to Marquette. The chapel contains a stone on which St. Joan of Arc prayed before going into battle against the English 1429.

This chapel will awe anyone who takes the time to trek to Marquette’s campus to explore its simple European beauty. You can schedule a tour at Marquette University’s Campus Ministry 414-288-6873 or stop in Monday-Friday 10:00am-4:00pm.
